Marsh, Moriarty, Ontell & Golder, P.C. concentrates on real estate law, conveyancing, title insurance and related matters, and representation of buyers, sellers, developers and lenders in real estate transactions.

The firm was founded in February, 1977 and historically based its practice upon providing title examination, analysis and reporting. The firm has attorneys who practice in the area of sophisticated and complex title and title insurance related matters, including services as Land Court Examiners and expert witnesses in Land court and Superior court matters. Our clients include title insurance companies, many large law firms in the Commonwealth and public interest groups, governmental organizations, commercial land owners and developers.

We have also expanded our area of practice into the representation of lenders, developers and commercial real estate owners. We have assisted in the closing of commercial developments and development sites, including office buildings, office parks, retail developments and raw land tracts for single family and condominium developments. Recent developments include the conversion and sale of condominium units at several former renovated former schools, the conversion of a former brewery in Boston to loft style units and the development of affordable housing.

Members of the firm also represent clients in permitting and development including prosecution and defense of appeals in Land Court and Superior Court.  Our attorneys are experienced in a range of real estate related litigation ranging from quiet title actions to boundary disputes to landlord tenant actions. Our experience also includes representation of creditors in workout and foreclosure situations having been one of the FDIC’s outside counsel during the last real estate recession.
